Lots and lots of e-mail notifications

Today, Sept. 8, around 4 in the afternoon (CDT) I suddenly started getting lots and lots of e-mail notifications of new messages in forums. Every single one was of something I'd already read. (As of 7:25 "lots" adds up to fourteen, and they keep coming.) What the frag?

Hmmm... might be just you, I've not recieved anything.

However... I remember a while back the PHP userlist was cracked... maybe that has something to do with it. But if it is merely to messages you already read, I doubt it.

You might want to check your User Control Panel and see what is set up for alerts and such. Normally you wouldn't be getting notices without something in there claiming you wanted to be receiving them.

I didn't notice this till now (friday Sept 11, 1030pm). But on Sept 8th I got two PM notifications for PM's I'd already seen and responded to:

Sent: Monday, September 07, 2009 11:53 AM
Subject: New private message has arrived

Received: Tuesday, September 08, 2009 4:20pm

-----------

Sent: Monday, September 07, 2009 12:17 PM
Subject: New private message has arrived

Received: Tuesday September 08, 2009 4:44pm

The curious thing is that I'd received three PM's prior to these two without getting the notification (which I have asked for in the user control panel)
