first, AFAIR they did try to explain it to him. He didn't listen so they just gave up on that. But they tried.

Nabiki's words were 'her body and soul belong to him'.

That's not an explanation, that's intentional misleading.
There is no problem that cannot be solved through the proper application of immense levels of firepower.

Would you believe this is one of the more tame bits of dirt I've got for him?

I don't know if it's correct or not, but I've heard that that's how the Japanese culture has women refer to sex. In an indirect manner, since flat out mentioning it is considered too crude to be feminine.

So yes Nabiki was being misleading. Look at Ranma's reaction to her "explanation".

Though both Kuno siblings have been in contact with Ranma during a change and neither figured it out. I doubt even a good explanation with examples would work.
Unless I say otherwise, if I'm discussing Ranma canon, I'm talking about the MANGA.

Nabiki's words were 'her body and soul belong to him'.

I meant other characters, like Ranma and Akane, later. Several attempts later they were convinced it's of no use, and stopped trying for the rest of the series.
