In Regards to Anime Adventure

Where stuff about fanfiction that doesn't fit into any other category goes. Try to make sure that new topics here actually couldn't actually go somewhere else.

Sounds painfully authoritarian compared to what the Addventure use to be. There are people who don't know english well enough to properly use words to meet legibility standards for some people.

I can partially agree with the requirements... I do actually agree with the concept of a length requirement and no fate splits as well.

However, every replacement or alternative I've seen to it is either more messed up, or all but dead and never really took off.

Both BEA and the Maximum Addventure come to mind.

I wouldn't so much mind his desire to have a higher quality/stricter requirements thread there, but I do object to the necessity of carrying the "Restart Deluge!" label just because KLSymph doesn't think it matches what he thinks should be there.

There is some good work on that site, and quite a few that make me want to smack the authors upside the head with a dictionary, especially certain authors who heavily overuse 'literally.' A minimum standard of legibility is fine, a good idea even, but that standard should not be based on publication standard. One of the biggest positive points of writing fanfiction is that it gives inexperienced writers a chance to play around with existing frameworks before they are ready to produce completely original works. Another reason for it is to just have fun. Since practically no fanfiction will ever be published(those writers who do manage to publish official works in an existing storyline often rise above mere fanfiction, or at least get permission, which few of us even bother to seek), holding a fanfic site to publication standards is ridiculous.

again, agreed....I still get a lot of useful commentary out of the site, however, and I note that KLSymph has only allowed one starting storyline to last unmoved to Deluge or undeleted since he put in his rules, and that's never been continued...and from my conversation with him, he is confident that the population will adapt quickly enough....

I will continue to operate off of the existing threads until then....

Let's leave silly political opinions out of this, Spokie.

Being that I frequently check the BEA for decent TG storylines (and sometimes contribute), I fail to see how it's either more messed up or failed to take off.

Coincidentally, there have been a lot of anime-related storylines there these days.

I agree. The quality really went up with Lumitiel. Great ideas for Ranma stories and a great writing style. Much better than Dragon FangX or GoofOff
And that's the bottom line 'cause Dumbledork said so.

I just looked that author up because I was curious...The stuff I found didn't do a thing for me. If you want to link to a thread you think is particularly good there feel free. For me everything I've ever read off of BEArchive devolved into a collection of nonsensical sex scenes with no plot.

Well what would one expect from a site that is called "The Unending 'Breast Expansion' Addventure". Also considering the fact that it is hosted on a porn site named 'The Breast Expansion Archive'. :P

Your best bet for an Addventure site would be The Maximum Addventure if they ever fix up the site by making it easier to navigate and going to a more simple design like what is used for the Anime Addventure.
