Rakhal has posted to the FFML that the Penultimate Ranma Fanfic Index has been deleted.

From to his post.
I'm afraid my site got hacked someone and has been serving up virii for whoever knows how long. I have therefore deleted it. I doubt too many people were still using it, but apologies for anyone that's been inconvenienced.

Initial FFML responses have so far shown that there are people (myself included) that still use the site.

I used it from time to time even though it stopped updating. What a horrible loss for Ranma fanfiction :-(

Thankfully, it's still available:

I used that site rather frequently.
And the archive is a poor excuse for a substitute.

How sad.
Damn virus scumbags. >:(

A very sad day indeed. :-( I still used it as well as a reference to find fics I half remembered.

I recall checking Rakhals site for it's regular updates. It used to be the one best source for finding new Ranma fiction. Thankfully PCHeintz does a lot of this now, but still, Rakhal's site is a sad loss.

Every now and then I'd drop by the site. Not really frequently, nor really consistantly, but still... :( :( :( :(

Good thing that I kept the plain text version of the index that he had up on his site: ranmalst.txt 1.85 MB (1,942,836 bytes) Version 1.103 date: 19th September 2005
Total Entries: 3280, total pages 221915, total complete 2025

You can get a copy here:

Damn thats upsetting, I really liked using that site for older stories. Good job I downloaded a html copy of the site a while ago. I linked them together so they work just as well as on the site.

At FFML Rakhal wrote:
OK, my hosting company swears to me the security leaks are fixed and so I've reopened the index (I reuploaded a fresh copy so I know there are no nasties at this time). However I shall keep an eye on the situation...

(address is now just www.rakhal.com)

And there was much rejoicing:!: :D

Yay it's up again. I always go to this site when looking for older fics, I like reading the descriptions before reading a fic so I know what it's about.

Or maybe he could let other people add to it.

Authorize a few people, yes. Let anybody and their grandmother access to the site, never! Didn't he just pull the site because of viral infections or assaults?
