Ok, here's a challenge. How about an interesting Ranma/Kodomo no Omocha fanfic where Pantyhose Taro or some other person -- because I can't see Ryoga, Mousse, or several others having the guts and it in them to do it -- get revenge on Ranma by feeding him short enough age mushrooms that cause him to revert back to a baby, and then he is left on a park bench somewhere and Misako Kurata discovers the baby.

Maybe even making it a perma-curse story as well, or have the curse be locked for the first five years for some reason. Of course, the reasons for becoming well known would be different for Ranma.

One fic I would dearly love to see is a Ranma/Real Bout High School crossover--where Ranma somehow ends up simultaneously a member of both the girls' team and the boys' team going into the final battle, and has to find a way to balance it all somehow, while trying to keep anybody from realizing.

Read Or Die/Negima: The Paper is assigned to teach at Mahora Academy - just before the trip to Kyoto and the conflict with the Kansei Magic Association and their familiars made from enchanted paper.

Bonus points if Negi can convince Yomiko to spend some of her spare time somewhere other than Library Island without using magic or a winch.

Sailor Moon/Detective School Q: A story where there is a connection between Sailor Pluto and the criminal organization Pluto (and, by extension, its bishonen unwilling heir apparent, Ryu Amakusa) without it being yet another manipulative Pluto story.

Bonus points if the author can come up with a plausible way in which the Senshi can keep their identities secret from five kids who are given real-life murder mysteries to solve on a semi-regular basis - for homework.

Seconding the a good new Ranma/Kodachi fic challenge, it'd be good to see. [Edit: Same goes for the Sailor Moon/Detective Academy Q]

Challenge One:

A crossover with a more popular series for fanfiction and one that's less so. Limited to only using the two crossovers, instead of these multi crossovers.

Challenge is to do that and make it fit well together. Not as a crack fic, but something with a plot.

Examples:

Harry Potter/Hayate no Gotoku (I can easily imagine Vernon selling Harry to the 'very kind people' and there isn't even a Hayate No Gotoku section on FF.Net).

Naruto/Disgaea (It's only been done a couple times)

Ranma/Popotan (because Mii has Happosai-esque tendacies)

Or other popular/less popular pairs.

Challenge Two:

A really good non-fukufic Ranma/Hotaru fic.

Without pairing off anyone else to get rid of the fiancée problem. Unless it's a canon pairing (e.g. Genma/Nodoka, Uranus/Neptune, Usagi/Rose Boy) then it should be avoided.

Challenge Three:

See Challenge Two, only Ranma/Shampoo and no running off to China (for long anyway) to escape all the others.

How about a crossover between Hellsing and Karin/Chibi Vampire?

To make it harder, it can't be a "wormhole-type" crossover. The two groups have to be native to the same world, and there has to be a believable explanation for the two radically different, coexisting vampire systems--without changing any specific events from either series' canon.

Bonus points for conversations between Alucard and Karin or Elda.
