Just a bit of interesting info.
Japanese don't have a separate word for "magical attacks". They call them "techniques" (waza). The same as for the martial arts moves like Hiryu Shoten Ha.
Sailor Moon herself have called their attacks "techniques" at least once.
Lina Inverse refers to her Dragon Slave as a "technique" (waza) as often as she calls it a "spell" (jumon).
(Well, Gourry called it a "jutsu" once, but he's a jellyfish brain)
Reminds me of not having separate word for "planet", using "star" instead which leads to much confusion in space operas and some hidden meaning in SM Season 5.
Anyone got more examples?
