I am getting the first chapter of my zerg/naruto story on the way but I have also realised as it moves on I will need a better understanding of the whole Naruto world as he may do some traveling .As such I was looking for information the geography of the place. A map would be great, official or fan made from details gleaned from the series.

A simple list of all the element countries names, descriptions climate and such would be okay as well. Even saying their additudes towards each other be great.

I mean I know of Fire country, Wind, a basic out line of Earth and less about Rain. But I know very little about the smaller ones, and almost no idea how they are located in relation to each other. If there is some kind of official way I would like to know before I just make stuff up.

I got this in the NarutoFan forum from someone called Anemone saying it was from the manga.

There are also a few others if you go to Yahoo Image search and search Naruto Map. Most only show the five countries though, some only in Japanese. I can't see where Swamp and Demon countries from the Shippuden movie would fit in either since the maps don't seem to match up.

Both are good, the first is obvous more vague and doesn't even mention wave still it does look far more official. For a series known for it's plot holes I am rather suprised anything official ever came out.

Still the second map really does look far more impressive, looks like it started with the official map and filled in the rest the countries best as teh creator could figure. All though I have to take some points off my awesome scale because the creator decided to mix japanese and english names for things. Calling it oto instead of Sound and the country not named Rice country or anything just the name of the ninja village.

Still I really apreciate the help, and probably work off the second map. Even if it isn't 100% official it's good enough for my purposes.

As far as I can tell he consistently keeps the Japanese names for the actual names of the villages and uses the English translations for the countries.
