Altering Ranma's attempt to learn the Happo Satus; fallout?

Couldn't fit the full title I wanted... anyway, I was just wondering: in the story where Miss Hinako first shows up, Ranma immediately decides he wants to learn the "Happo Satsus" (Hinako's ki-draining moves) after seeing Hinako use it to take Happosai himself down. Initially, Akane doesn't get suspicious when Ranma takes Hinako away to try and ask her to teach him the moves, but Nabiki stirs up trouble for her own amusement and Akane starts following him.

When Hinako-chibi reveals she hasn't been paying any attention to Ranma's attempts to politely ask her to teach him the Happo Satsu, he snaps at her angrily- which makes her start bawling. Ranma tries to apologise to her, and Akane promptly bursts onto the scene in her usual fury, belting him over the head. When he points out he just wanted her to share something with him, she immediately assumes the worst and starts getting angry- Ranma's attempts to make her calm down before she ends up getting her own aura drained causes Ryoga to get drained, which eventually leads to Hinako declaring Ranma an enemy after first Akane, then Ryoga badmouth him.

My question is this: if Akane hadn't followed Ranma, and he had finally managed to ask Hinako to teach him the Satsus without her interference, how might things have developed from there? How would Hinako and Ranma's relationship (in the formal sense of the word, *not* the romantic sense) have been altered?

Alternatively, what might have happened if Ryoga hadn't shown up and Akane had gotten herself drained, despite Ranma's attempts to make her calm down? Is it possible that Hinako might have decided that Akane is the delinquet (attacking someone for no real reason, etc) and not Ranma?
Water, water, everywhere, and all was cursed and black!
Drowned ones cast bad spell and out come pig, girl, duck, panda!
Swirl, swirl, slithery pond, and join with magic spring!
Swirl, swirl, dirty pond, and rid the cursed sting!
Here my prayer, I beg you please!
Now turn these curses BACK!

Oh, that's what you were talking about in the other thread, there is nothing at all like that in the manga.

Ranma and Hinako get to complete their "date" without interference, he gets to ask her to teach him the happou goensatsu and Hinako hears and understands him, but never gets around to answer. After she leaves Ukyou and Shampoo hit him. Akane comments that he is capable of being nice after all, and places her school bag on his head. Unlike Ukyou and Shampoo she still doesn't seem to suspect anything romantic. Then Ukyou and Shampoo beat up Ranma for real, and Kodachi joins them in the process. Afterwards Happousai tells Ranma that he can't learn the goensatsu anyway.
Ryouga doesn't appear at all.

I can't really comment on the anime because that story is long after the point were I gave up on it in disgust, but it doesn't seem like Akane's intervention there changed anything long term.
