The Ranma 1/2 Perfect Edition site says Nabiki means "to bend or yield to a power."

There can be several different meanings to a name. By themselves, the parts of Ranma's name is usually translated into "wild horse", or something similar, but together, it means "chaos". Perfect Edition also translates Saotome in two different ways. "Rice planting girl" is the way they've translated it for a long time, but Ranma's character listing had a different version added: "fast/quick maiden/virgin".

according to wotclub Ranma Faq Ranma's name has many meanings:
Ranma: Ran can mean disordered, confused, chaotic, boisterous, abusive, reckless, random, excessive, indiscriminate, extravagant, inordinate, haphazard, reckless, social disorder, disturbamce, rebellion, civil war, war, riot, revolt, be corrupt, be demoralized, and also used to mean ulceration and decomposition as well.
Ma in compounds simply means horse.
The ran of Ranma is most likely supposed to reflect Ranma's unusual lifestyle, and the goings on around him. It's also worth noting that Akane frequently calls Ranma baka (literaly horse-deer).
Though it does not quite reflect the original, the translation of Ranma I like the best is wild horse.

As for Nabiki's name it says "To bend, lean, incline, or yield to some power or motion, to follow, or comply with."
"Did you really think sealing me in concrete and burying me in the yard was even going to slow me down?!" Ranma v8p92

1. This isn't the place to be discussing what names mean - this is the place to say how great (or lousy) my artwork is
2. I checked a couple of japanese/english dictionaries and they agree that Nabiki (or Nabiku or Nabika) means to bend, flutter, wave, succumb, bow to.

I know pretty much diddly about art so I can't offer any sort of critique, but it looks damn nice to me, man. The way you've drawn it reminds me vaguely of something but I'm damned if I can place it. Do you base your style on an old comic book or something?

It looks very good, subtly improved over the first version. [sarcasm]Now, get back to work creating things that please the world. And somebody replace the chains on his keybaord, he's not supposed to escape![/sarcasm]

The car's front right [My right] seems a bit off.....
I don't know... the perspective seems a bit odd or something..... it might just be me....

I think one of the reasons the front-right of the car (from our perspective - the cars left) looks slightly strange is that the headlight isnt on a bump.
From the picture posted, it can be clearly seen that the elongated headlights are actually on a raised, curved bump on top of the bonnet on either side of a lower, flat section in the middle.
However, in the image, although the left side of the image shows the cars right headlight lifted up from the bonnets plane (with a bright highlight above and behind it to show the light is on a ridge), the right side of the image doesn't show this, making it look more like the headlight is embedded directly into the bonnet, and the whole front has been bent upwards.
I think some shadow or highlight needs to be added to indicate this better. Perhaps brightening the section of bonnet behind and above the light to indicate that it is at a different angle and therefore catching more light (like is done for the air intakes in the centre of the bonnet)?
Good picture though.

I may try that

Yeah, on that top-right image from the link there is a definite crease running from the bottom of the lights up to the bottom-right of the windscreen. Hopefully only a line or a subtle change of shading will help.
