This is another fic idea up for adoption. It's fairly straightforward. The first episode shows how Ranma and Nabiki go OOC and are trapped into being delinquent detectives rather than face more jail time. Former fiancées and bothersome parents are shoved out of play to make this run like a cheesy combination of Nancy Drew, roller-derby, pervert-bashing pulp fiction with simple and predictable plots. Ranma and Nabiki will wade through various anime and manga disrupting plot development by arresting key characters and making inane speeches.

Ranma gets pinned for vandalism due to excessive property damage. He runs, he hides, he dissembles and lies but the police just keep coming to look for him. In the end, Ranma is convinced to give up and face the penalty; a walled school with dormitories for violent juvenile delinquents. Nabiki told him it would be a short stint. It was not. Nabiki told him it would be more like a hotel with attached school. It was not. Nabiki told him Akane would wait. She did not and neither did the other fiancées.

The Furinkan Principal and teachers affirmed Ranma was a delinquent. From then on, good behavior was hard to come by for Ranma. Being stuck in the boys’ correctional facility worked out badly and Ranma ended up with a little extra time on his stint. Escaping added a little more. Finally, they transferred him to the girls’ correctional facility and he ended up in semi-solitary confinement there, too.

He made friends, though. He had a rival for notoriety within the detention center, one who was intelligent, ruthless and hated him at first because she was sent there for her last year of high school. Her name was Tendo Nabiki. Her crime was racketeering and almost got tried as an adult. Ranma arrived well after Nabiki who saw him as a faker, a troublemaker, and a threat to her growing cadre. Ranma was not happy being there with Nabiki, either, but the pair of them found they were a good match for skill sets and their partnership was mutually beneficial.

That was when they were approached by Detective Hako Batou of the Tokyo Special Police Department. Both readily agreed to the terms, catch without fail or go back into detention. They also thought they had a pretty good idea where to start given the description of their man-hunt mission.

Mission: There has been a rash of thefts in Tomobiki High School. Go undercover in Tomombiki High School to hunt down and bring in the panty thief. This should be easy, right? They dealt with Happosai often enough. Except, Happosai is nearly impossible to bring in and he’s not the only pervert in Tokyo. Fortunately, they both get groovy technology based on personal effects acquired and skills developed in the slammer. Ranma gets a bullet-proof fan and steel-toes rollerblades. Nabiki gets a jet-powered skateboard and a killer yo-yo. Each also receives radio earrings to communicate discretely with each other and the detective.

The episodes, after the introduction story, are planned to be very short. Each will take place in different locations forming different cross-over stories. Ranma will be mostly female for these stories though his curse will not be locked. Some short stories will take advantage of the gender-switching for comedy. Other missions may include nabbing train gropers, stalkers, peepers, and mini-camera artists. Nabiki, by the way, always seems to win the bet when deciding who gets to be the bait.
