Fixing Ranma life is pretty simple:

Here's an idea that would reduce one of Ranma's problems:

Take the cursed dagger of Xomelgustar from Slayers Next. Use it to slice a piece of an outfit of each of the fiancees. Stand back.

The curse of the knife operates as such: The curse is passed on to the owner of the item that is damaged by the knife. After the curse is affected, whenever the cursed person strikes somebody, they feel the full force of their own blow a second after the strike.

Since I'm willing to bet that Ranma has a much higher tolerance for pain than the girls do, they're likely to drive themselves to their knees every time they attack him. Aversion therapy will reduce the beatings.

I actually recall that episode... Funny as hell. It worked a bit differently tho IIRC.

Lina kicked Gourry between the legs... 3 seconds later she was in as much pain as Gourry was. i.e. the pain of being kicked in the male genetalia.

I should confess I have absolutely no comarison how that relates to a woman being kicked between the legs tho. I can only imagine the target area is bigger for males.

Now having the girls face that should prove interesting to say the least...

That poses a problem on it's own... Ranma is 'The Best'. So if we clone him and end up with 3 or more copies of him... Which one is 'The Best'? That'd result in them fighting over it.

Not to mention if the girls would go for that solution or not.

Ukyo's Ranma would be a waitress at her resturant after programing, thus he would be more interested in that; Shampoo's would never leave the village again; Akane's would be submissive, and let her be the best... best chance at her going along with the plan; Kodachi's would be drugged to the point he doesn't care any more, Happi's would be... not touching it, and the original would belong the the sailor Senshi... j/k he would get away scott free.

If Ranma could learn how to use the memory-alteration shampoo, he could solve a lot of problems. You couldn't use it on the fiancees without destroying their lives (Ukyo's father and the Amazon village are out of reach, and without wiping their memories of Ranma as well, the repercussions of failure would still fall on Ukyo and Shampoo), but I'm sure Akane would be thrilled if one day Kuno forgot that she existed. Similarly for Kuno/pig-tailed girl and Kodachi/Ranma.

There was a recent story with this plotline. "Out of Sight, Out of Mind" by Turbanator at http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2699236/1/

Ranma used another memory erasing plot device in this case, but flubbed the effect on one of the cast, who sets out to search for him and solve the mystery of his disappearance.

A decent story, imho.

Shadow Chronicles has two Ranmas in the initial story. It didn't turn out too well (granted, there was no mental reprogramming involved, and both Ranmas still wanted Akane).

That isn't really a solution, as it solves everyone else's problem, but not Ranma's.

I'm sure Akane would be thrilled if one day Kuno forgot that she existed. Similarly for Kuno/pig-tailed girl and Kodachi/Ranma.

That really wouldn't work with Tatewaki Kuno. Even without remembering her, Kuno would still act the same way towards Akane (as evidenced in the watermelon island story).




How about a Quantum Leap approach? It would work in two ways: have Sam Beckett go back in time and fix Ranma's problems for him. In order to avoid a mary-sueish situation where an outsider suddenly solves everything, have Beckett FAIL (or partially fail). Instead, Ranma gets the chance to see his own future, and when he gets back in time he builds upon what Beckett started.

The exact fixes would depend on what period of Ranma's life Beckett falls in, and what specific future he's trying to alter. For example, if he lands somewhere in the middle of the series when all the major fiancees have appeared, Beckett can choose to outsmart Cologne and try to fix up Mousse and Shampoo. Maybe he can reunite Ukyo with her father, then somehow get the Kunos institutionalized. If the future thurns out having Ranma unhappily married to Akane, maybe Beckett can get the engagement transferred.

Use the shampoo on Kodachi and make her think shinoski is her love.

Use the koi rod on Kuno and get Tsubasa to be the wielder...

Use the aging mushrooms on Principal Kuno and make him a student... one that Hinako would have to deal with... heh

Erase Moouse's memories and sell him to the Sailor Senshi as a magical adviser... or to keep it in Ranma 1/2, convince him to go back to the circus by removing his memories of Shampoo.

Cut a deal with Cologne to use magic on Shampoo, Ukyo, and Akane to think polygamy is good.

Get Tofu and Kasumi Drunk and in front of a priest.

Knock out Nabiki, and Daisuki and drop them naked into a bed, even if nothing happens it will still get her married and away from Ranma.

Nodoka will be impressed by Ranma's manlyness and such Genma will never have the energy to do anything. Without Genma, Soun would just go with the flow.

Use the month love pill on Happosai and have him lay eyes on Kuno after he is splashed by instant Nyannichuan.
