Uncommon Crossovers.

However, Ranma/Futaba crossovers have a high ratio of good to bad quality fanfiction. Both Golden Lining by Cloud Dreamer and FAR Ranma by Trimatter are fics I enjoy reading more than once. I really cant think of any others off the top of my head.
Personally I would like to see more Ranma/D&D crossovers, done well at least. But then I am an RPG freak, so that is understandable =)

I'd like to se a crossover involving Magic: the Gathering. Any anime would do, though the best choice would be Berserk, IMHO.

Futaba makes a special appearance in the last (to date) fic in the Pink Lemonade series at Furinkan.net. Fairly funny series but pretty raunchy as well.

Aren't elementals gigantic? I haven't read any of the novels, but I've played the RPG and tabletop for years and I know that in order to fit into elemental armor you'd have to be 2 meters tall and half as as wide on the shoulder (we once nitpicked the battletech cartoon, where the protagonists "stole" elemental armor, a ridiculous concept). Anyone large enough to wear elemental armor would stick out like a sore thumb in Nerima, and nobody would ever mistake the original Ranma with one that can fit in it.

Elemental suits are just battle armour. All battle armour, Inner Sphere or Clan, is custom-fitted to the wearer, just like the high-grade medieval armour (knight stuff).
Bluntly put, I wouldn't be surprised to see an Aerospace Pilot Phenotype (utter shrimps, for those who don't know) that failed to test out in their own branch and retested for Elemental, in the Ghost Bear Touman at least (they get a second shot into the warrior caste, dontcha know? That's how Bjorn Jorgennson (Ghost Bear Khan) was born a MechWarrior and pilots an aerospace fighter).
Although, on this idea, Miri: Which Wolves are they? It's after the Refusal War, so are they Phelan's Wolves or Vlad's?

Actually it's just before Vlad shows back up. And anyway, can you really see Ranma as a Crusader?

A couple ideas...
-Ranma/Sailor Moon. Before you scream at me for proposing another fukufic... what if Ranma was chosen instead of Hotaru as the 'host' for Mistress Nine? Even better, what if something went horribly wrong, and whenever splashed he now actually TURNS into Mistress Nine... separate personality and all?
To make it even more fun, throw in the stipulation that neither half has knowledge of what the other half was doing. Possibly, make the locking ladle useless due to interference from Mistress Nine's negative energy, so no cheap 'Nine gets the ladle and locks Ranma out forever'.
Next...
-Ranma/Excel Saga. Through a series of unfortunate accidents (namely, attempts to either kill or recruit him into Across and/or the Municipial Force Daitenzin), Ranma finds himself engaged to Excel. And Hyatt. And Elgarla. And Ropponmatsu. And if you feel truly sadistic, to Iz-Chan.
I don't think I need to tell you how much utter chaos such a scenario can cause. Sinc Excel Saga is a totally nonsensical series, you don't even have to make something serious up. Just go crazy.

Oh well, I'm sure yours is fairly different than mine, as it seems in yours that Ranma gets chosen right away.
As for Genocide Heart, I solemnly promise that I didn't take your idea without credit....This is the first I've seen this topic. If I've offended you in some way, I apologize.

Heh. Been a while, and look at this... a few people had the same idea as me... either great minds think alike, or mediocrity is contagious. I prefer the first option.
I always thought that fukufics are limiting. Why does Ranma HAVE to end up on the Senshi's sides, or in a fuku at all? He could just as well end up on the villains' side, in more than one way. While he may not be BAD per se, there's a bunch of villains who aren't properly bad either, but still end up on the opposite side. So I started considering, and out popped the Ranma as M9 idea.

Hm... Now that reminds me of one of my secondary fic ideas... Ranma ends up on three sides, without any misunderstandings or 'two-timing' involved. And none of them are precisely Usagi's
Although if you were looking for villains who weren't properly bad, M9's an... interesting pick, considering she works for a Cthulhu-esque alien deity who intends to destroy Earth.
