But one scientist is having second thoughts about this project. Sierra Altmann, head researcher and erstwhile "mother" of Vivio, has grave misgivings about entrusting a clone of her beloved monarch into the hands of a madman like Scaglietti, and in the midst of preparing Vivio for her role in Jail's plot, decides that she cannot allow "her" child to suffer at Jail's hands, and begins to sabotage Vivio's "development", simultaneously beginning a plot to remove Vivio from Jail's reach. Several weeks later, Sierra makes her move, abducting Vivio from her stasis capsule and transporting her to a planet on the far side of the multiverse. However the design of the lab's teleportation grid prevents Sierra from leaving with Vivio, and before Sierra can escape herself, her treachery is discovered by her co-workers. Sierra is killed for her betrayal just after destroying all records of Vivio's location.
All is not lost, however. While Vivio is all alone and stranded on a distant planet, Sierra's sabotage involved partially linking Vivio to her relic, simultaneously aging her up slightly (due to the partial activation of the Saint's Armor mode) and rendering her capable of defending herself. She also possesses a small device Sierra created for her, and while Vivio's memories of being the Saint King have been almost entirely stripped from her, she retains enough of her former self to come across more as an amnesiac pre-teen and not a useless toddler like she was in StrikerS.
Lastly, and most importantly, she's not alone on this new planet. As a matter of fact, she's right smack in the middle of the Juuban district of Tokyo... and you all know where this is going.
Vivio has been on her own for less than a day before she finds herself running for her life from a particularly persistent daimon (leftovers from S, not the current monsters of the week). Vivio doesn't yet have the strength or reflexes necessary to pose a threat to even a standard youma, much less a daimon, but just as it looks like her heart crystal is about to be eaten, Saturn and Mercury come to the rescue.
With Vivio's situation brought to the attention of the Senshi, it is quickly determined by Usagi that they can't possibly leave Vivio alone, not only because she's apparently an orphan with no idea where she came from, but also because her enormous and uncontained magical energy signature is attracting the attention of demons from all across Tokyo; leaving her alone is tantamount to killing her, so the Senshi collectively adopt Vivio into their extended family.
((Meanwhile, beyond the Fourth Wall, I'll see your Nanoha-mama and Feito-mama and raise you Usagi-mama, Mamoru-papa, Ami-mama, Rei-mama, Minako-mama, Makoto-mama, Michiru-mama, Haruka-papa, Setsuna-mama, Hotaru-neesan, and Chibi-Usa-neesan!
Vivio's adoption brings about... complications, however. First, demons of all sorts are flooding into Juuban in huge numbers to get at Vivio's energy, so the Senshi are pressed harder than they've ever been to keep the people of Tokyo safe. Vivio is legally adopted by Haruka and Michiru and has to go to school with Hotaru, leading to conflicts with the same bullies Hotaru has to deal with. And of course just because Sierra deleted Vivio's transit coordinates doesn't mean Jail isn't going to be looking for her with all the resources at his disposal...
