That was later on. If I remember right she was busted down to second class for something or other pre-manga.

It also looks like it's a lot later in the manga. The manga's been going for so long, Fujishima may have either forgotten what he wrote earlier, or changed his mind. From what I can tell, the episode I quoted was written over ten years ago.
