Hm... Thing is, I had other plans for Silver Millenium technology/magic that wouldn't really fit the crystal...

Which means Usagi isn't AAA anymore, at least not without her rock.

Well, in a way, by the end of the series, the Crystal was pretty much a part of Usagi, so there isn't much of a difference anymore...
Honestly, it seems that Nanoha is one of those combat geniuses that comes once every Ranma when it comes to magical combat. The fact that she pulls all those attacks in RH's Ex form should prove that.
Anyways, funstuff! I'll be watching for more Nanoha/SM/Ranma good-stuff from now on!

True enough. And it doesn't really matter that much anyway. I just like to be a perfectionist and have everything accounted for. Iceberg theory and all that.

Yep, she's damn good. Of course, I've gotten the vibe that unlike such individuals as Fate and Signum, she doesn't actively enjoy fighting - she takes it seriously, uses it to accomplish her objectives when necessary, and has a freaky rate of skill development and power level, but doesn't seem the type to fight in her spare time. Versus Fate and Signum, 'Let's beat the hell out of each other lots and lots' as the start of a beautiful friendship

Anyways, funstuff! I'll be watching for more Nanoha/SM/Ranma good-stuff from now on!

One was his own design.
And the third is his own fault for focusing on a joke his enemy made.

Well seems I am a bit late to comment on this, but since I didn't quite spot in on my troll through FF I just caught it here. Good story Pale, I really look forward to seeing more of this. I also like your idea of magic=ki, since that seems to make sense in my opinion. No complaints other than the Nanoha cast didn't get much 'screen' time so to speak in this chapter. Keep it rolling.

That's my main complaint too
Problem is, they don't really get started on doing much till chapter two, and it'll be a few more chapters down the line before they actually cross with the others. So basically, they're doing normal life, which is my weakest point.
