Re: Favourite pictures v2.0

https://www.deviantart.com/sailorenergy/art/Sailor-Mercury-Uses-her-CPU-531306172 This image is still available, even if it's only on the Tart. :D I had even more fun with this while rewriting my old fanfic into an original: the time is the 90s, my stand-in for Mercury had made her computer from fo...

Re: Favourite songs v2.0

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEfv6QtYFAM — "Inspector Morse" theme. Famouse for the 'M-O-R-S-E in morse code' motif repeating throughout the theme. It's so well done that you don't even notice that it IS morse code, it just sounds like a "normal" part of the music.

Re: Weirdness: Round three

Pretty sure every polar or high-altitude country has its own variant of this scale. Here it's usually Norrlänningar(Norrland is northern 2/3 of the country, with Svealand and Götaland the rest) vs the south, as because of the climate patterns, once you get down far enough towards Göteborg or Malmö,...

Re: Weirdness: Round three

I just had to steal this… Some true facts about Icelanders: +15°C Spaniards wear winter-coats and gloves. Icelanders are out in the sun, tanning. +10°C The French are trying in vain to start their central heating. Icelanders plant flowers in their gardens. +5°C Italian cars won't start. Icelanders ...

Re: Weirdness: Round three

It's worth noting that the melting Alpine glaciers are revealing structures built after World War One. Glaciers grow and shrink. I live in Minnesota; you live in Iceland. I see no problems with the world getting warmer, and suspect you could accept it too. But then whatever. I'll probably be safe s...

Re: Favourite Youtube videos v2.0

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LaYRBJBJp4g — Yes, it's a train, though you will soon see what is so special about it. Of course it's a train! You're more focused on trains than i am and my whole family, last 3 generations worked on/with railroads. Interesting idea though. https://www.you...

Re: Worth a squee?

I may be wrong, but I think there is a surplus of countryside dwellings, what with shrinking population and people flowing to the towns and cities. Mind, it will almost certainly need a complete rebuild, but they will hopefully have a place to cool down, have fun and re-enact a few anime scenes. Su...

Re: Worth a squee?

Oh, and the other day i just stumbled onto this:

https://tapas.io/episode/255222

Cutest horrorcomic ever. Definitely worth a few hours attention, even if the actual story arcs are not as good as the shorts.

Hellooo teacher...
