Nice, very nice - as usual, I need to go to bed, so here's very brief comments: V1C Strong light, - missing a comma between the two words from her, much more diminished - extra coma (and much more is perhaps a little too much) inside Toronto wase neutralized - was, not wase there's cowardice When po...

There was also an unfinished Sailor Moon crossover where Ranma had always been God (a singular, incredibly powerful in theory figure) - but when in 'mortal' form was bound by the expectations of (some) others. He and Setsuna were at odds over the free will issue. Separately, Twisto posted about Ah! ...

WARNING: This post contains technical weapons discussion, including basic physics. If that's not your cup of tea, please move down to '} v3a comments:', at the end. [Okay. [Should I make it clearer and say the limits of man-portable gunpowder technology? }Probably not - the Russian assassins carry w...

[Well she did get support. The whole thing where she was moved and the trap was laid was all WIC support. [As for the brood not getting in in time. Yes that is a goof. I'll have to adjust the timing of those events to have it fit. [The brood et all did come just a bit late, and Morgan was jumping th...

Two other comments without re-reading: Limits of gunpowder technology? Not in the slightest. Nodoka is still using, as a base, cartridges scaled for humans and designed with all the normal requirements in mind. I wouldn't really rate any of them as terribly impressive on a vehicular scale, which is ...

Oh, yes - and the NKVD/KGB would have insisted on all candidates for a program giving that much power to a single individual have the highest political credentials. I saw nothing more than true believer Communists having been turned to cyborgs - no need for programmed ideals (and the very cliche'd '...

These comments apply to a first very tired read on fanfiction.net late night between Sunday and Monday. Regarding the beam weapon as a poor choice for a sniper, I'd say not at all for a military operation with a single target. If you need followup shots, they're going to be taken after artillery, ai...

"Savaged" is not that uncommon, or wasn't some time ago. It was, however, more commonly used for animal attacks.

I'd say definitely leave it in - it fits, it's reasonably appropriate, and as a side effect more people have a chance to learn it.

The other top class martial artists have never had a remotely 'normal' life, nor do they necessarily really comprehend normal people very well. Akane at the same skill level, as others have mentioned, would have had a completely different environment since she was no less than, say, 7 years old - an...

Grave of the Fireflies tops the list - and would, even if it wasn't based on some of the less published realities of WWII. The end of Gunbuster is also remarkably sad and depressing, if you stop to think about being transported 15,000 years into the future just after your species made the decision t...

No, no real impression that the Hounds could resurrect the Keeper, but it was a possibility.

Either the Hounds spent their entire life force protecting the ashes, or they went elsewhere after... which was it?

Wonderful! A reasonable fight scene (though I note that the Keeper had felt multiple deaths, while the Inquisitors reported only one, presumably the start that broke the Keeper's control over itself). Ranma asking for Cologne's help made sense, particularly with a girl-youma at risk - though part of...

Just a note: As a matter of principle, I refuse to read stories with either major misspellings or IRC/IM/text message/modern slang abbreviations in the titles or summaries.

As a note, Togashi is absolutely correct regarding Amazon vulnerability to the PRC military. Guerilla warfare can be very effective, if and only if the guerillas are able to get physically close to their targets, and the opponents are engaging in specific forms of limited warfare. Guerilla warfare d...

One excellent tale of sacrifice on the part of Severus Snape, on behalf of his Slytherins (no pairings): http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2470334/1/The_Birthday_Present Now, there's parts I don't enjoy, but I just skip over them, and it's very much worth the read - warning, it can be quite sad. Most of t...
