Depends entirely on the author. I would have Ranma be too shocked to do anything at first and then have his aura make him a good stand in for Saffron for a little while. Start at the beginning and figure out how everything is suppose to fit together so we don't have huge continuity errors, like the guide taking them to the Amazon Village because he didn't know how to cure the curse until the author decided spring of drowned man would work and suddenly everyone knew ...

Songfics are just an excuse to steal someone's work add a few lines and pretend you've written something profound.

Depending on the translation I think Kasumi's complaint was that younger men were boring. I take that to mean she wants some excitement in her life and travel would cover that quite well.

Some very good points. I'd have to agree with Shampoo being an excellent choice in terms of compatibility, but if he left Ukyou in Nerima after all she's gone through I doubt he could look at himself in the mirror. So the only real solution is to take both... and Kasumi. Why Kasumi? Least troublesom...

You actually can write a decent story with your SI knowing everything and solving all the problems... for about half a chapter. The problem isn't finding summaries that make you go 'huh', the problem is finding ones that actually make you want to read the story. I look at 99% of the crap out there and want to preform the 'Nut Punch Father Time' maneuver.
