Maybe try drawing stuff based on your story? I find it helps get the creativity going when drawing stuff. Maybe it'll help you get back the feel and essence of the story! :3

I think adding the nose would detract a bit from what he's trying to do with the drawing. Seems like a lot of chibi style drawings I've seen don't have a nose added, though I suppose I've also seen some with a slight nose added. I guess it's mainly just about the personal preference of the artist. :3

When you say "improve" is there anything you're looking for specifically? Like just cleaning up the lines and the colors? Or do you mean like a full blown redo of the drawing along with coloring?
