Re: Favourite pictures v2.0

Mentioning Tom Swift... Most, if not all, of the Tom Swift sr. books are now available at Project Gutenberg. I remember Tom Swift, Sr, and his son Tom Swift Jr. They were fun back then, but probably would not read well in the twenty-first century. There are all kinds of things I remember fondly, bu...

Re: Favourite pictures v2.0

This actually happened to me in first grade. I was reading even then, and went through the "See Spot Run" books for the first grade, So I read the second grade Spots, and started in on the third when I was firmly told to stop that! (At home I was going through Tom Swift, and when I finishe...

Re: Weirdness: Round three

Thank you for the William Tell Overture. But for weirdness, try this: "Pomp and Circumstance" on the boghorn.

Re: Weirdness: Round three

Little tiny books, hooray! I collect tiny books, though I've never come near a gashopon machine. I've even made a few out of fanfiction. I think my favorite was Spring of Drowned Tigger", about five inches tall. (I've done smaller, and larger.)

Dancing chickens can be interesting, as can a Lucky Duck backed up by the Chickeneers.

A place called Woodhenge is just a few miles ENE of Stonehenge. Turn left at the traffic circle. Once upon a time I made a Wood Hinge. It was for a musical instrument case. Since there is one left over, I thought I'd take its portrait.

Neko, I love the t-shirt. But where would I wear it? (A Con, probably.) I shall have to make-do with my many Agatha Heterodyne, Girl Genius tee-shirts.

Re: Weirdness: Round three

Some of you probably remember the type-in magazines and their wealth or programs in various BASIC dialects. I even managed to port some of them to Sinclair Colour BASIC. I typed up a word processing program from one of those magazines, for the Commodore 64. It worked right off the bat, and I used i...

Re: Any stories where Akane gets therapy?

Getting back to Akane - it's a given that Ranma needs therapy, and often gets it - I dug around a bit in my collection, and found several stories: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/6834408/1/ -- "Silent Steel" -- Richard Ryley https://www.fanfiction.net/s/2246372/1/Tattered-Mist-letters == jade...

Re: Favourite Youtube videos v2.0

And here we have the strangest version of Bolero. It's a section from "Allegro Non Troppo", a movie by Bruno Bozzetto. Think of it as a dyspeptic version of "Fantasia". It's in Italian, and the intro and between-scenes are in black and white.
