Re: Worth a squee?

Indeed. That one just isn't "functional". But OTOH, it's just 10 printed as special prizes, so not for sale anyway. I looked at the picture, tried to imagine reading it, and recoiled in horror. If they're only doing ten copies, that's different. If they're smart each publisher will keep o...

Re: Worth a squee?

That ginormous manga collection is too large. I remember many years ago when assorted American publishers were putting out giant-size comics, by which I mean tabloid size. I was tickled to get a few, but after reading them I could NOT figure out storage or preservation. Books or magazines that are t...

Re: Magic "Fix"es Ranma Female

Fist of the Moon by Penguin-sa counts as the magic helping Ranma a lot. Like saving his -> her life. Pity about the side effects, but it all worked out in the end.

Re: Magic "Fix"es Ranma Female

Chaotic Future by Cloud-Dreamer satisfies the criteria fairly well, if you count Divine Intervention as magic.

The part about sports reminds me of the personality-switch curry in Revoltionary Girl Utena.

Re: IRL: Fire loose in Our Lady’s Church in Paris

One news article says the paintings and relics were saved. I mourn the stained glass.

I saw the tallest spire crumbling on television. This is not good.

Re: Konoko's Art Pad

The size of an image in inches or centimeters is unimportant. What size was it in pixels, and what was the color depth? That's what the computers have to struggle with. For that matter, Wikipedia's computer has already done the struggling. If you click on "More Details" you will find the i...

Re: What if… — Idea inklings

I began a story not unlike that way back in 1960, only I did it to the DC Universe. The first chapter was fun, and easy to write -- but was only a setup. When I tried to turn it into a story , I hit a brick wall. That many near-simultaneous pregnancies strained the bounds of coincidence. Somebody ca...
